A Talk About Volcanoes And Danger

The boys seem to share some deep conversations to/from swim lessons.  Not sure what inspires them.  Yesterday, this was their discussion on the way to the lesson:

Zach:  Geeebe, did you know there are volcanoes near water?

Gabe: Yes.

Zach: And the lava is like fire.

Zach [to me]:  Mom, is fire real?

Me:  Yes, Zach.  It's real.

Gabe:  Yea, and the lava is so hot.

Zach:  Gabe, can you dig to the center of the earth?

Gabe:  No.

Zach:  Gabe, why did God make danger?

Gabe:  God didn't make danger.

Zach:  But God made everything and there's danger.

Gabe:  Danger has to be here because there are predators and predators have to fight other predators.

I can't remember how the conversation went after that.  But, seriously, how smart is Gabe?  That was such a great explanation for why danger exists in the world!  I think that I was so stunned by his response that I couldn't concentrate on remembering after that.  Love them!
