Gabe's First Time Making Applesauce

So, we had a TON of apples hanging around from our recent apple picking adventure, and I decided to make some homemade applesauce for Gabe's birthday brunch.  I asked Gabe if he wanted to help make the applesauce, he and was very excited to be included.  I peeled and cut the apples into slices, while Gabe cut the slices into smaller chunks, using our spreader knife.  He did a great job cutting - he really concentrated, and I think he felt like a big boy using the "knife".  Although he didn't like eating the applesauce, Zach and Mommy did!  Yum!

great technique!

Gabe's Munchkin Friends Birthday Party

On the day after his birthday, we had a second party for Gabe to celebrate with his friends from our mother's group.  It was a pizza party, and we invited a clown named, Rainbow, to join us.  Rainbow was a big hit for most of the kids, especially Gabe.  He was engaged with all of her magic tricks and enjoyed the balloon animals that she made at the end of her show.  It was another great party for Gabe!
