Playdates & Patriots

Zach and I attended a PTO coffee hour playdate yesterday.  It was held at Gabe's best friend, Joseph's house.  All of the children there played so well together.  When we picked Gabe up from school, he had a Patriots crown that he made at school.  One of the first things that Gabe said to me after school yesterday was, "Mom, I hope the Giants don't win."  I think it's too cute that the school is getting the kids involved in the Super Bowl!

Backpack Heaven

Gabe finally got his transformer backpack.  He earned it this past weekend and was beyond thrilled when it arrived.  He brings it wherever we go (grocery store, mall, to bed, etc.).  And when he put on his new backpack, he handed down is old one to Zach, who was over the moon to have one of his own.  Too cute.

Here are some pictures of the boys with their backpacks:

Heard Around The Block

There have been some funny things said around here lately.  Here they are:

At dinner last night:
Gabe:  There's nothing like a nice lunch.

When he woke up this morning:
Gabe:  I didn't move a single inch last night.

To me this morning:
Zach:  Here's you fanmomo.  (fanmomo = transformer)

Angels & Demons

It's been a very hard week, and it's only Wednesday.  Argh!!!  Apparently Zach is arriving late to the terrible two's party.  Or maybe he hit some terrible two's before and is back at it again?  I don't know.  All I do know is that he's giving me a run for my money this week.  Unfortunately, Gabe's struggling as well.  Mornings seem to be the worst, so school days are becoming nightmarish.  Thankfully, there are still those moments when they each make me smile during the day.  Here's one moment:

At lunch today, Gabe said, "Mom, when I look at you, you look like a beautiful angel just sitting in the city."

Too funny.  The other day I was a country angel, and today I'm a city angel.  At least I'm an angel....
