Aside from telling me that he loves me out of the blue at least twice every day (!!), Zach has come out with some cute little Zachisms of his own lately.
"Oh gracious, oh gracious, oh gracious, oh gracious" (said when his Crocs were filled with sand from the beach today)
***********************************************************************************
"are you finking what I'm finking?"
***********************************************************************************
"Gabe, I love you. You're my bruva (brother)."
***********************************************************************************
And I'm forgetting the cutest one; it blew my mind. Must remember. Must remember...

Some Recent Gabeisms
Here are some really cute things that Gabe has said recently:
"Mom, can you hold this please? I'm not an octopus." (said while getting out of the car and trying to carry his backpack, sippy cup, and a toy)
*********************************************************************************
"Mom, I don't want to go to heaven later. I don't want to go to heaven when I'm really old. I want to be like Peter Pan and stay young forever." (said verbatim when he woke up this morning!)
*********************************************************************************
"After you..." (which he now says whenever he holds the door open for me!)
*********************************************************************************
"Mom, do you need more quiet time? Cuz I could be quiet a little longer if you need more time." (said 3/4 of the way through his imposed quiet time in his room---now that he's not napping anymore. gasp!)

In Gabe's Belly
So, we've already been to two birthday parties this fall, and we have three more to go this month. Gabe, who didn't get a party this year because of our trip to Disney, is struggling with the idea of attending so many of his friends' parties. Poor Bub. Looking back, we should have thrown him a party. So sorry, buddy.
When another party invitation arrived in the mail today, Gabe rolled his eyes, sighed loudly, and exclaimed that he was not going to go to another party. In an attempt to turn things around, I told Gabe that another way of looking at things is that he's really lucky to have so many friends who want to celebrate with him. I added that when I was his age, I wasn't invited to as many parties as he is.
Zach immediately asked, "you were in Gabe's belly?" Huh? Too funny.

A Visit With Tuppa Papa & Mimi
Tuppa Papa and Mimi came to visit this past weekend. The boys were thrilled to see them, since they live so far away. Zach loved when Tuppa Papa made silly faces! It was great visit.
Gabe's Doing So Well In School
We're so thrilled with Gabe's new pre-k teacher, Miss Jenn. For the first couple of weeks, Gabe didn't have a single time-out at school! What an accomplishment. Recently, he earned a special star for being so patient and raising his hand. We're very proud of our little guy!
Miss Jenn sends home detailed notes of what the kids learned each day! The begninning of this note says, "We were so happy to have our friend Gabe back from vacation!" How sweet is that?
here's Gabe's star note!
Gabe doesn't bring home much artwork anymore. I think the kids are busy learning more than they're drawing this year. Anyway, this is a drawing of a Transformer and the picture says that Gabe wants to be a Transformer for Halloween.
