Random Pictures From The Past Few Weeks

Here are some random shots:

A Hike In The Lincoln Woods

This past Sunday, we took the boys for a hike in the woods in Lincoln.  Gabe loved it; Zach had to be encouraged, as he often wanted to be carried.  Do they make youth Bjorns - he'd love one!

One of the highlights of the hike was looking for the path markers on the trees - it was like following a treasure hunt.  Another highlight was stumbling upon a couple of snakes slithering in the leaves.  The boys got a pretty big kick out of Mama's screaming at the snake.  For Zach, the biggest highlight was checking out the train tracks near the parking lot and getting to actually touch a real train track with his little finger.

All About Zach

It's Zach turn at school to make a "poster" about himself.  Remember this project--the one that I thought we needed to make into an actual poster?  Argh!  Zach and I put his project together yesterday.  He had a lot of fun making it and kept giving me hugs.  Sweet boy!

Zach's three wishes are: to be Batman, to be a train, and to be an Angry Bird.  When he grows up, he wants to be Batman.  Here are some pictures:

Gabe's Building With Legos!

We're thrilled that Gabe's taken to Legos.  During quiet time last week, he made different houses with the Legos.  We referred to him as "architect Gabe".  He said that when he gets bigger, he wants to build a movie theater.  Here are some of his creations:

Plum Island in April

We took the boys to Plum Island the other day.  We intended to take them on a hiking trail but never made it there, as they wanted to play on the beach.  It was a perfect morning, and the boys pretty much ran the entire length of the beach.

The Thompson Cousins

We drove down to Connecticut this past weekend to see Baby Drew & Cousin Cody.  We had a great time!  Alanna and the boys are coming up for a spontaneous visit this weekend, and when I told the boys, Zach gasped and said, "Mom, you are the best; I love you!"  And then he hugged me hard.  We love our cousins!
