Elf On The Shelf Part II

I surprised myself this morning with my quick smarts (not usually my strength).  So, I heard Gabe saying to Zach when the boys were getting dressed that they needed to find Kim (our elf).  With J away, I totally forgot to move him last night.  I was going to run down and tell them to wait upstairs, but instead I thought of a good idea.  I decided to let them find Kim in his same spot on the book shelf.  When they saw that he hadn't moved, I told them that he must not have wanted to go to the North Pole last night, since we had a fresh day.  He probably didn't want to tell Santa about our behavior, I added.  Then, I told them that we can have a good day today and Kim will want to go to the North Pole tonight.  It worked!  Probably won't work again, but it worked this morning.  Gabe really got it, and Zach kept saying, "Kim no move.  Kim no move.  Kim no move...."  Good stuff!
