This one took me by surprise. And made me laugh out loud.
The back story: the boys received snow globes when they were born, with their names, dates of birth, etc. engraved on them. Inside the snow globe is a rocking horse, and it plays Rock-A-By-Baby. The boys love them and have shown a renewed interest in them, as of late.
Now that Gabe's older, I'm letting him keep the snow globe in his bed or on his bookshelf (whereas before I put it up high on a shelf in his closet to keep it from getting broken). The other night when J was putting Gabe down for bed, J took the snow globe and put it back on the closet shelf. J didn't know that I've been letting Gabe keep the snow globe in bed; and it's probably safer in the closet, anyway.
Well, the boys had a lot to say about Dad putting the snow globe away. It started with Gabe telling me in an irate tone that Dad took his horsey and put it in the closet (it took me a while to figure out that the the horsey that he was referring to was the snow globe). Zach heard Gabe's exasperation and, he, too, chimed in; saying that Dada should not have taken the horsey, etc. They were two little irate boys.
This morning, Zach came into my room and said, "Mom, Dada took Dabe's horsey away. Dada put it in the closet. That's cwazy." And he said "cwazy" with such intention and meaning. These boys are the best!
(Oh, and I just realized that I just told a very long story for such a short little statement)
