It's hard to believe that it's been over a month since I last posted anything on this blog. But, here it is, after 10:00 PM on a week night (which is the middle of the night in the Fredette household), and my mind is swirling with cute stories about the boys - stories that I'm afraid that I'll forget if I don't write them down.
Before I get to the super cute stories, I feel the need explain my absence. Simply stated, the summer has been tough. The days are very long with these two, active, adorable boys of mine. We've had plenty of activities to do, people to see, places to explore; and by the end of the day, I've felt completely spent. There were a few days this summer when I didn't know if I could make it through the summer months intact. I've been trying so hard but feeling not so successful as a mom. And those feelings can really wear you down.
Lately, what I've been feeling the most, however, is extreme gratitude. For my family. I'm making it through these summer months, thanks to the love and support of my large family network. Please know that I am so appreciative. I now know that the phrase, "it takes a village to raise a child," is spot on. So, to the Martin-Fredette-Whiffen village, I thank you and love you.
Always happy to be part of the village! Love you too.
