The Uncle Colin Factor

Uncle Colin's name is coming up a lot in conversation lately.  Not only do the boys love him, but he's also becoming their new measuring stick, for lack of a better way to phrase it.

You see, our Uncle Colin is a tall gentleman.  Probably the tallest man whom Gabe and Zach know.  Here's what I'm referring to:

  • When Gabe moved into his big boy bed, he asked if it was big enough for Uncle Colin.
  • When we were talking about the size of the Loch Ness Monster, Gabe asked if it was bigger than Uncle Colin.
  • When we went to build our snowman today, Gabe asked if we could make it as big as Uncle Colin.  Since I'm not that good at making snowmen, I suggested that we make a "mini" Uncle Colin.  When J got home from work and asked what they did during the day, Gabe told him that we made a "mini" Uncle Colin snowman.
  • And when we talked about building a snow wall earlier today (with our snow blocks), Gabe asked if we were going to build it taller than Uncle Colin.
Too cute!
