On our way home from our first OT appointment today, Gabe asked if he has two schools. I didn't understand at first; then, he mentioned "outdoor school", which is how I referred to the Melrose Recreation programs that we were involved in last summer.
In our conversation, I changed "outdoor school" to summer school, and Gabe replied that it is summer school because he goes there when it's hot outside. He then went on to say that water comes out of his eyes at summer school. This is how the conversation went:
Gabe: Water comes out of my eyes at summer school.
Me: Hmmm. Water that comes out of my eyes are tears. I wonder if you're talking about when you get hot and your body drips with sweat?
Gabe: Yea, I get hot neck tears at summer school.
