And then we went to decorate the cookies and all hell broke loose. I frosted the cookies, and they were in charge of sprinkling the colored sugar onto the frosted cookies. Evidently they ate too much of the colored sugar when I wasn't looking because all of a sudden, they went bonkers. Bonkers. Gabe was all over the place, they had colored sugar all over their hands, arms, shirts, and mouths, and the crazed laughter was incessant.
I love a laugh. I love a good time. But this was crazed fun. I had to take their shirts off so that the sugar wouldn't go all over the house (meanwhile it already had; I was stepping on sugar all night in my bare feet). And then the evening went downhill from there. Jason and I have suspected that sugar affects Gabe in a very negative way, and now I feel as if our suspicions are confirmed. It was an instant transformation in him. Poor guy!
So, we never ate the cookies (we'd already had enough sugar for one day), but the boys were okay with it. We'll have to try them tomorrow...
look at him!
so cute!
they also ate more of the dough than they should have. I caught Zach with a mouthful when my back was turned.

and Gabe pressing the cutter
can you tell which snowman Zach made?
running around topless
they hugged so many times; they also did "belly bumps" - where did Gabe learn that??
eating dinner without my shirt
