The Boys' First Sleepover

Gabe's been talking about having a camp-out with Zach, so we improvised with a sleepover in Gabe's room.  We got out the sleeping bags, put a small tent at the side of the room, and called it a camp-out.  I predicted that the sleepover would last 15 minutes; it actually lasted 1.5 hours!  When we said good-night and shut the door, I lingered to hear how things would play out.  Immediately, Zach said to Gabe, "Dabe, I think I scared."  It was so cute.

They were actually really quiet for the entire 1.5 hours!  We heard an occasional thump from upstairs, but there was no screaming or giggling or silliness that we could hear, anyway.  But, when it became 9:00 and we still heard thumping from above, we decided to put the kibosh on the sleepover.  According to Jay, when he walked into the room, there were blankets and sheets strewn everywhere, everything from Gabe's bed was on the floor, and the room was in general disarray.  Gabe immediately asked that Zach go into his own room.  And when they woke up this morning (in their separate rooms), Gabe reported that Zach was keeping him awake all night.  Too funny.  We tried!

all snuggled up and ready for our camp-out
