Hooray! We finally did it! We finally went to the library as a fairly civilized family! Previous trips resulted in lots of running, screaming, and general goofiness. Today, however, we went to find a Transformer book. With a distinct mission, Gabe and Zach were in for the visit. It was so nice. I'm thrilled that we finally went, behaved, and had a great time.
The one Transformer book that the library owns is being re-bound, so it's not currently in circulation. That really irritated my Transformer-loving son. He said that he'd like to wait at the library - thank you very much - for them to finish fixing the book. He didn't want to leave without it! Though it took some encouraging, Gabe became interested in a Spider Man book, and we read it three times while sitting in a little library nook. I have such fond memories of going to the library as a little girl, and I've been waiting for this day to come for my two men. So happy!
As we were leaving the library with our book and videos in hand, Zach stated to a grandmother and grandchild who were entering the library, "I angry!" And Gabe exclaimed, "this is the worst day of my entire life." When I asked Gabe why today was the worst day of his entire life, he said that it was because the library didn't have his Transformer book. Zach said that he was angry because he was angry. Ah well. We really did have a nice time at the library.
