I'm Just a Little Happy

Gabe loves playing with our colander.  Often, he wears it as a hat, other times he just holds it and maneuvers it.  Kind of strange, but oh well.  This afternoon, he grabbed the colander from the counter and brought it into the playroom.  We played with the colander for almost an hour.  Gabe filled his trains with the colander, walked around with the trains inside the colander, and then he and Zach filled the colander with trains and Gabe dumped the trains into a "landfill" on the train table.

As he was playing with the colander, Gabe said, "I'm happy, Mom," and he gave me a hug.  I was thrilled that he was having a good time, and I guess I expressed too much excitement; in response to my elation, Gabe said, "I'm just a little happy, Mom.  I'm not really happy."  Too funny.  I'll take a little happy any day.

Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Zach wearing the crazy sunglasses

he's wearing them upside down, since his nose is too small to hold them right side up

Kills me

and the big brother wearing them upside down, too; because that's just his style

waiting for Zach to fill the colander with trains

they worked together, filling this colander for a long time; it was great!
