What Is A Geyser?

At lunch today, Gabe asked me what a geyser is.  Ordinarily, I just answer the question; this time, I turned it back on him.

According to Gabe, a geyser is "raised in holes and when a polar bear splashes out water".   Pretty, pretty close.
