Zach started a toddler art class at the Early Intervention center. He loves playing with the pretend food in their kitchen and with the sensory table. Last week, they had pasta in the table, and this week they had blue-colored sand. He doesn't like sitting for circle time (when they sing and read a book), but he likes bubble time (when we blow bubbles), and he'll sit for the art project for a couple of minutes. It's nice to share this early school experience with him.
Here's the first art project that he completed:
He made the dots and lines by dipping horse feet (photo of the horse below) into paint and then "stomping" the horse on the paper. It was a creative project! I certainly had never thought about using a pretend horse as a paint brush. Today, he painted with q-tips and clothes pins with a cotton ball on the end of them.
