Okay, so I need some reassurance. All of you blog readers out there, please comment!!
Is it normal that Gabe cries for the bad guy in ALL movies and shows? For example....The bad T-Rex in Land Before Time falls from a rock, and Gabe crumbles into tears, afraid for the bad T-Rex (every single time we watch it - he always cries for him). The scary angler fish in Nemo gets stuck in between some rocks, and Gabe comes running and crying that the fish is going to be stuck forever. The bad elephant in Blue Elephant (don't ask - it's a struggle of a free movie on Verizon's demand list -- it's been a long indoor summer, folks) gets trampled by the good guys (since the bad elephant killed the blue elephant's father), and Gabe cries for the big, bad elephant.
Is it just that he's crying for the guy who gets hurt, oblivious to the fact that the guy is "bad"? What is this about?
ADDENDUM:
Just this minute (after I posted this post), Gabe said to me in a very angry voice that Dory (from Nemo) was going to shake the bad guy and that he was very mad at her and that he was going to "go in there and get her." Seriously?? What is this about, my friends?
You're not going to like my answer but he sees himself as "fresh" so identifies with the bad guy. I hate that this thing won't let me comment as me anymore.
