My Poor Bub

So, we just got back from Noah's house.  We had to drop something off for his mom before they move this weekend.  Unfortunately, when we arrived, Noah's mom was at work, Noah and his brother were napping, and Noah's grandmother was helping to pack and clean.  We thought we might be able to see Noah, so Gabe was pretty upset when we got there and heard that he was napping.  We only stayed a minute, and then we got back into the car.  Gabe was VERY upset.  He talked about wanting to run into the street, he talked about being so mad at Noah's grandmother, etc.  It really and truly killed me.  I know that he knows now that we won't be seeing Noah anymore, and he really wanted to see him one more time.  In fact, on the car ride down to Noah's house, he said that he was so excited to see Noah and that he was going to tickle him.

As we were driving home, Gabe asked me where we were going.  I told him that we were going home (it was almost dinner time), and he got very upset.  He said, "I'm going to break our house.  I'm going to break this car."  I tried to console him by reminding him that our trip to the Cape is tomorrow, and in response, he said that he wasn't going to go to the Cape.  So, I told him that if he didn't go to the Cape, baby Drew would be so sad and would cry for him.  To that, Gabe said, "Mom, baby Drew isn't going to cry.  He's just a baby.  He doesn't know any better."  That put a smile on my face.  Thankfully, we were stuck in traffic on the way home, so we listened to some happy kid tunes; and by the time we got home, Gabe seemed to be in better spirits.

My poor bub!

Oh, and Zach had just started to call Noah "Wawa".  We're really going to miss our friends!
