So, Zach's doing less "jargoning" aka Chinese babbling and more one/two word utterances. Sad to see the babbling go, but fun to be able to communicate with him more.
When he watches TV shows, he totally interacts with them (Gabe did the same thing at this age). For instance, a show will say, can you see the letter "R" and Zach will say, "yea". Or, Mickey Mouse will say, can you help me, and Zach will say, "yea". He mostly says "yea" to the shows, which is an appropriate response. But with shows that have to do with letters (like Super Why - one of his favorites), he'll repeat the letter sounds or the letter. I'm loving it! He sounds so cute!!
J discovered that he knows Goodnight Moon by heart. Gabe was "reading" stories before Zach was born - he could finish the sentences and it always amazed us. He has an incredible memory. Now, Zach's doing the same thing with Goodnight Moon, and it's not even a book that we read frequently. Just another sign that our baby is growing up. I like it and I don't like it.........
