In terms of heartbreaking, we're trying to break Zach of his baby-food dependence. I give him his typical breakfast and lunch foods, but for dinner I give him whatever Gabe's eating. As you can imagine, it's not going well. This boy has been eating a diet of baby food, cereal bars, crackers, and baked goods for over a year now. He refuses to eat anything more. Even the sight of most "big boy foods" causes him to gag. Add to the mix a stubborn personality, and you've got yourself one painful week. He cries at dinner, refuses to eat, throws the food, runs to the pantry, throws his beloved paci, and hits me. The hardest part was watching him throw himself on the floor in front of the pantry, crying and screaming. I'm holding out hope that he'll eat dinner again one day. Until then, please keep us in your thoughts. This experience is wretched.
When Zach napped for less than an hour today and Gabe NEVER fell asleep (seriously?), I decided to take them to the zoo. It was a beautiful day, and I couldn't see myself spending any more time in the house. The playroom is still off-limits, since the painting is yet to be completed.
Here are some pics from the day:

Zach wanted to wear a hat, too
Until his brother took it off

He's not so sure that he likes the brown bears
