More Moon Love

Tonight, Gabe and I were reading stories, and we had to sit on the couch by the windows, so that he could look at the moon while I read to him.  After we finished one dinosaur book, Gabe wanted to read another dinosaur book, but the particular book that he wanted to read was upstairs in his room.  He told me to "go get it" and I was waiting silently on the couch for him to ask me politely.  Gabe interpreted my lack of response as a lack of hearing.  So, he asked me several more times to get the book, and none of those requests started or ended with please.  So, Gabe then says that the moon is sad.  That the moon is crying because the moon needs me to get the book.  I just said, "oh" and I waited for the please.  Gabe then said that he had to go potty and that the moon had to go potty, too; the moon needed to go pee pee on the potty.  Evidently the moon is his buddy.  And when it was time to go up to bed, we had to find the moon from the bathroom and bedroom windows.

Has there ever been another child that's loved the moon as much as Gabe??
