Beautiful, Sparkly Donut

So, I bought these frozen "healthy" donuts (from the health food section of Stop & Shop) for Zach.  Zach eats pureed fruits, crackers, and baked goods.  That's pretty much it.  He stopped eating the healthy muffin tops, so I moved on to donuts.

Anyway, when I gave Zach a donut this morning, Gabe asked for one, too.  I placed the cinnamon & sugar donut in front of him, and he got all happy and excited.  He said, "oh, what a beautiful donut!  It's so sparkly."  And then he gave it a kiss.  The smallest things rock that kid's world.

The Fireman & The Cat In The Hat

Since it's pouring down rain today, Gabe wore his fireman rain boots when we went out to Mall Tots (again) this morning.  As I was putting Gabe into the car, I called him Fireman Sam (from one of his TV shows).  He said, and I quote, "Mom.  I'm not a fireman.  I may look like one, but I'm not.  I'm just a boy wearing fireman boots."  I asked him what a fireman looks like and he said, "he looks like a mans."  He cracks me up.

Gabe's back on his Cat in the Hat kick.  We read both the Cat in the Hat and the Cat in the Hat Comes Back before nap today.  As I was tucking him in, he said, "Mom, I want the cat in the hat to come to my house to play."  I told him that the cat in the hat is too fresh for our house, and he said that he'd tell him to behave.  Ya.  Right.

Here are some pics from Mall Tots.  We met up with our friend, Noah, and his brother Mateo.

Two Little Fans

My mom got these Patriots sweat outfits for the boys.  So cute.

We had to roll Zach's pants over so many times that he had a tag-tale

I don't think J's going to like this shot...

There's been a lot of lip picking these days

I guess you get the idea

The Wenham Children's Museum

Yesterday, we met up with a couple of the moms from our mom's group and took a trip to the Children's Museum in Wenham.  There was a big antique toy train exhibit that I thought the boys would enjoy.  I'd heard it was a quaint, small museum with a playroom and a tea house across the street.  (We did not go to the tea house - 'magine?)

It was a perfect morning!  The boys loved the museum.  Gabe ran after the trains as they chugged along in their big glass cases, and Zach just ran around.  Thankfully, it's a small place, so I wasn't as nervous when Zach went out of sight.  The playroom was fantastic, complete with a train table, playhouse, dress-up station, etc.  We'll definitely go back again soon.

The only glitch - we ran into some kids at the museum that we'd seen at Mall Tots earlier in the week.  Gabe had gotten into some "tussles" with these boys at Mall Tots, and I just couldn't believe that they happened to be at this little museum in the middle of nowhere on the very same day at the very same time!  What are the chances???  I held my breath and got lucky.  The boys never recognized one another.  Phew!

Here are some pics from the trip:

Zach was obsessed with watching this train (and pushing the button, of course)

Smell-Proof

Yesterday when I was getting dressed and ready for the day, I spritzed myself with my daily dose of perfume.  Gabe was in the bathroom with me, and he asked me "what that smell was."  I told him that it was my perfume, and he said that he didn't like it.  Oh well.

This morning, Gabe was ready for the perfume.  I started brushing my hair, and he asked, "what's that smell mom?"  I knew he was anticipating the perfume.  I told him there wasn't a smell, yet.  I put on my deodorant and the boy asked again, "what's that smell, mom?"  I told him there wasn't a smell, yet.  Then, I got out my perfume, spritzed, and he asked, "what's that smell, mom?"  And I told him that he knew what it was - that it was my perfume; to which he responded, "I don't like it.  I'm going to move over here (as far away from me as he could get in the bathroom) and smell-proof myself."  Smell-proof myself?  Where did he come up with that one??

I'm On a Video Kick

Here's a video of Zach laughing at the video of himself as a baby:

And another:

Video of Zach Laughing at Gabe (at the age of 6 months)

This is my all-time favorite video of Gabe & Zach.  Zach was 6 months, and it was just after Christmas.
