Slow Day

Today was a slow day.  It's a record week for me, as far as not getting out of the house with the kids.  Gabe had his first Thursday of school today.  Hooray!!  I'm not sure exactly how today went, as he was talking about having a time out - I think for not listening?  He came home with a picture of the letter H with hearts on it, that he was really excited to show me.

After school, he went on an adventure with Moe Moe to Jordan's Furniture.  He reported that he did not like all of the noise at the fireworks.  Evidently he liked the rotating door and the ice cream and cookie that he brought home and ate for dessert tonight!

This afternoon, we received Valentine's cards, and Gabe was over-joyed with his card.  He was jumping up and down (referring to it as a birthday card no matter how many times I tried to correct him), and saying, "this is just great."  It's funny how the small things are so exciting, and Gabe's always appreciated the smallest of things. I got an eraser for their easel the other day and just put it on the easel without feeling the need to make a big deal of it.  I mean, it's an eraser.  He noticed it right away and said, "Oh, mom.  You got me an eraser.  Oh, thank you mom.  I love my eraser."  Gotta love that.

Here are some photos from today.
