This is Really Not My Day, Mom

I had to run to the computer to get this one down before I forgot the exact words.  So, I was building a tower of blocks with Zach, and Gabe was playing at the train table.  Gabe didn't want to play with the blocks, but he still wanted me to play with him.  So, all of a sudden Gabe says, "This really isn't my day, Mom."  That got my attention right away, so I asked him why in a very concerned tone to which he replied, "my day is broken.  My heart is broken.  It breaks my heart."  He couldn't explain what broke his heart and his day, but I have a feeling he needed some attention (which I was happy to give him).  Not too dramatic, or anything.

And he's never forgotten the line from The Polar Express, "it broke my heart to lose the silver bell."  Out of nowhere, Gabe will say, "that song broke my heart" or "you broke my heart".
