Second Day of School

Today was Gabe's second day of school.  Again, it's snowing and, again, school has already been cancelled for Thursday.  Poor guy hasn't experienced a full week of school, yet.  Like last week, Gabe was pretty quiet after school.  He said that he played with Brandon (again) and with a dump truck that had a broken door.  He had a hard time transitioning home, but as he was eating lunch he started to talk more about school.  All of a sudden, he started singing a song that he learned at school, and it goes (to the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb):

Nick came to school today
School today, school today
Nick came to school today
On this Tuesday morning.

I got really excited that he was singing, that he remembered the song, that he shared it.  He saw my excitement and asked me for a hug.  He gave me this great hug and then we sang the song with Gabe's name.  He got a kick out of that, so we put in other people's names (i.e. Henry, Rooster [from the TV show Chuggington], Zach, Mommy, Daddy, etc.).  Then he would sing about anything in sight.  "Window came to school today; cool car came to school today; dinosaur came to school today; snow came to school today, trees came to school today, branches came to school today, wrinkles came to school today, etc.  It kept us entertained for quite some time, and it was super cute.

My new backpack!

I'm so ready for school!

And they're off; let the cat-herding begin!

Running away from Mom

Oh, and when I ran upstairs to grab the boys' clothes this morning, I came downstairs to find Zach looking like this:

What??

What??

I wonder what happened......

"I pulled his arm out." -Gabe

They're full of surprises, these two.
